   Claude platform release notes — October 1, 2026

   Models API adds a `line` field: `GET /v1/models` and `GET /v1/models/{model_id}` now return the model line (Opus 4.5 and 4.6 both report `opus`; null for a model in no line). Same page: Claude Sonnet 4.5 (`claude-sonnet-4-5-20250929`) is deprecated, retirement on the Claude API scheduled for November 30, 2026 — migrate to Claude Sonnet 5.5.
