Messages API adds on-demand conversation compaction (beta, `compact-2026-09-04`): send a `compaction` parameter, get a signed summary block to replace earlier turns, run it in the background, and keep recent turns verbatim. Compliance API now returns Claude in Chrome session transcripts for Enterprise.
